A multidisciplinary artist focusing on various art disciplines...

VISUAL ARTS

His visual artworks range from drawings to mixed media paintings and installations and are presented and shown through conceptualized art exhibitions. His exploration of makeshift tools and methods allowed his works to prove deeply into a wide variety of topics including the most central to our understanding. He held many solo shows and exhibitions for many years featuring artworks with contemporary themes of infinity, reverie, and optimism. Interestingly most of these exhibitions were presented with the original musical score to complement the artworks.

DESIGN MEDIA

He has illustrated a wide variety of notable design works and illustrations to date. Creative concepts ranging from logos, cover designs, commemorative stamps, product designs, and web designing are among his favourites. Fascinated with photography and computer design software, he utilized these as mediums in creating his digital artworks. For him, design media is a limitless avenue of discovery, creativity, and expression. He now manages Jake Merin Concepts, a Melbourne-based creative art service, and advisory firm that caters to all aspects of art.

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

For many years, he served as Product Designer and Production Manager of PJM Trophy Centre, an award and recognition specialist based in Manila. His expertise in art enables him to design and create the company's most sought-after products including trophies, plaques, and other customized corporate items. Designing, product development, and management are just a few of his many exceptional skills.

MUSIC

Music was his first love.  He played with local bands during his younger days while writing songs as a hobby. The publishing of his musical compositions has paved the way for a number of collaborative works with artists in the music industry. Although he already refrains from writing songs professionally, He still continues to compose songs not for other artists but for his art exhibitions. His compositions were more often heard in his exhibitions as a musical score to complement his visual works.
